Kathmandu. GO Automobiles Pvt. Ltd., a part of Golchha Organization, has launched a new daily EMI scheme with the aim of making the purchase of MG Comet EV, Nepal’s most compact and smart electric car.

According to the company, the MG Comet EV can now be manufactured in monthly installments of Rs 520 (Rs 15,535 per month). The company claims that this amount is less than the cost of booking a daily taxi or hiring a personal driver.

Akash Golchha, managing director of G.O. Automobiles Pvt. Ltd., said that the scheme aims to establish the purchase of electric vehicles as a natural choice of easy lifestyle, not as a big financial decision. “Buying an electric vehicle should not feel like a huge financial burden. MG Comet EV will now be available in daily installments of Rs 520 to remove the biggest confusion of customers. The vehicle is designed keeping in mind the needs of Nepal’s narrow roads, urban lifestyle and customers who want to save on fuel expenses. This offers a smart and sustainable travel experience without compromising on style and comfort. ”

Starting at Rs. 18.75 lakhs, the MG Comet EV is a compact electric hatchback specially designed for urban roads. The cabin is suitable for daily commuting and regular travel within the city. Based on MG’s state-of-the-art electric platform, the vehicle is equipped with a 17.3 kWh battery and a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. It offers an ARAI-certified range of 230 km on a single charge.

It is considered sufficient for daily commuting, personal work and weekend urban travel. At a time when Nepal’s cities are increasingly congested with rising fuel prices and increasing fuel prices, a key feature of MG Comet EV is its compact size and economical operating costs. Available at Rs 520 per day or Rs 15,535 per month, the vehicle is suitable for narrow roads and can be a cheaper alternative to using a daily taxi. According to GO Automobiles, the new daily EMI scheme will reduce the financial barrier to buy electric vehicles in Nepal and provide customers with the opportunity to switch to electric vehicles on a monthly budget with ease.
