Sarlahi. An attempt was made to rob Lalbandi in Sarlahi district last night.

An unidentified group opened fire on the road at the border of Lalbandi municipality-7 and 3 in the night and tried to rob them.

Hari Prasad Sapkota of Lalbandi municipality-7, who runs a mobile shop at Lalbandi Bazaar, was robbed by three motorbike-borne men while he was returning home after closing his shop at night, police said.

“An attempt was made to rob a person who runs a mobile shop at Lalbandi Bazaar after reaching a secluded place at night. Spokesperson of District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Bed Prasad Gautam said, “When the police retaliated, they opened fire and fled.” We are investigating. ’’

Sapkota, who was on his way home on a motorbike, retaliated against the robbers and the robbers fired bullets from Nalaktuwa pistol and fled, he added. Police have also recovered bullet casings from the Nalkatwa pistol from the incident site.
