Kathmandu. The British College and Computer Association Nepal (CAN Federation) have signed a strategic agreement for the ‘Startup World Cup Nepal Chapter 2026’.

According to the agreement, CAN Federation will be the strategic organizing partner of this prestigious global competition. The MoU was signed by Rajan Kandel, Group CEO of The Kandel Group and The British College and Chiranjibi Adhikari, Acting President of CAN Federation.

This collaboration is not only a competition but also a mega campaign to integrate and commercialize innovative ideas spread across Nepal. The partnership has set a nationwide strategy with the assumption that Nepal’s entrepreneurship should not be limited to the Kathmandu Valley.

Special competitions will be conducted to identify local level startups in different provinces of Nepal. Nepali entrepreneurs will be connected with experienced industry leaders, successful businessmen and technical experts.

Investment Opportunities: Facilitation will be done with domestic and foreign investors to link innovative ideas with capital.

During the partnership, the leaders of both organizations emphasized the importance of startup culture and digital foundations for economic prosperity in Nepal.

Organized by Pegasus Tech Ventures globally, the ‘Startup World Cup’ is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious startup competitions. It is held in more than 60 countries around the world.

The winners of Nepal Chapter will represent Nepal at the Global Grand Finale to be held in Silicon Valley, the renowned technology center of America.

The winner will win an investment prize of $1 million (over Rs 130 million) by competing with global giants.
