Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE) has expedited the process of resolving the problems seen in the foreign employment sector and regulating it. Details of various works carried out by the Department’s Case and Research Section, Organization Monitoring Section and Registration Section have been received.
According to the Case and Investigation Section of the Department, 22 new cases have been registered till 4 pm today. In the same period, 14 cases have been settled and eight people have been arrested and presented.
The department has issued arrest warrants against 18 people and given permission to arrest 35 people. In addition to this, a total of 126 letters including letter written to the bank, charge sheet and opinion letter have been challaned.
The organization monitoring section today distributed 2 passports and sent letters to 2 manpower companies. Out of 6 complaints received, 5 were resolved through phone calls. Similarly, the organization registration section has renewed 7 pre-departure orientation training providers (PDOT) and 22 manpower companies.
The Department also seems to have given priority to the complaints received through Complaint Management, Hello Sarkar and Call Center. Out of the 2 complaints received from Hello Sarkar, 1 has been resolved and the other is under study. Of the 51 complaints received at the call center, 50 have been resolved and one is under process, according to the department.
