Government has taken issues raised by IPPAN seriously: PM Shah 

. KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra Shah has said energy sector is an important base for economic transformation, employment generation, industrialization and green development of Nepal.

During a meeting with the office-bearers of the Independent Power Producers’ Association of Nepal (IPPAN) at Singha Durbar today, Prime Minister Shah said that the energy sector would play a significant role in the promotion of Nepal’s export trade.TAG_OPEN_div_23

He clarified that the Government of Nepal has taken seriously the issues raised by IPPAN in the field of energy production and promotion in Nepal.TAG_OPEN_div_21

On the occasion, Prime TAG_OPEN_div_19 Minister Shah assured the officials of IPPAN that they would coordinate with the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Nepal Electricity Authority and other stakeholders for the necessary facilitation and solution.

During the meeting, discussions and discussions were held on various issues as the energy sector, hydropower development, investment of private sector in energy and environment, promotion of industry and business and development of the country’s economy through it, according to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.TAG_OPEN_div_17

On the occasion, IPPAN also discussed the issues related to power purchase agreement, PPA facilitation, forwarding the stalled projects, resolving the problems related to transmission line and grid access, simplification of forest environment and land acquisition, facilitation in license renewal and participation of private sector in electricity trade.TAG_OPEN_div_15

Necessary TAG_OPEN_div_13 discussion was also held with PM Shah on the issues of investment security and making energy sector more investment-friendly.
