Electricity supply from 220 KV Marki Chowk-Bharatpur line ends

. Electricity is now being transmitted from the 220 kV Marki Chowk-Bharatpur transmission line. Minister for Energy, Irrigation and Water Resources Biraj Bhakta Shrestha initiated the power supply from 3:00 pm on Saturday, according to the Energy Ministry. Minister Shrestha had taken the initiative for the operation of the Markichowk-Bharatpur 220 KV transmission line. He interacted with the people’s representatives and locals of the local level.

With the operation of the 220 kV transmission line, electricity supply will be accessible to the people up to Kohalpur via Chitwan, Hetauda, Butwal.TAG_OPEN_div_14 “This would make regional electricity transmission more balanced, reliable and effective. This transmission line will play an important role in reducing the problem of tripping and power outage. Minister Shrestha said.

He said that it would be of great help to connect all the electricity generated by the private hydropower projects of the region to the national grid via Bharatpur especially during the rainy season.TAG_OPEN_div_12 Minister Shrestha said that the compulsion to operate the power house in less capacity will also be removed.
