Chitwan. CHITWAN — The Narayangadh-Muglin road section has resumed operation after the removal of landslides at 15 different places.
The landslide started at 7:00 pm on Monday afternoon and continued till morning. Two-way traffic has come into operation after the removal of landslide debris this morning, said engineer at the Division Road Office, Bharatpur, Arjun Ghimire. Equipment including two loaders were used to clear the landslide on the road at night itself.
Landslides at Bhateri, Khorkhola, 15 kilos, 11 kilos, 16 kilos, 19 kilos of Setidovan, two places in Ghumaune, two places in Simal lake, 25 kilos of Jalbire, Namsi rivulet and Tuin rivulets of the road section were obstructed, said engineer Arjun Ghimire.
The two-way road at Setidovan and one-way traffic was blocked at other places. Although the landslide was cleared to allow vehicles to operate by 1 am, they had to wait till morning as there was a risk of landslides in some places.
The local administration has urged the people not to travel as far as possible during the night as landslides can occur along the road section at any time.
