Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Industry, Commerce and Labour and Consumers’ Welfare Committee under the House of Representatives has directed the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies to control the problems of black marketing of LP Gas and artificial shortage of LP gas.

In the meeting held at Singha Durbar on Monday, party president Rahbar Ansari directed the committee to submit the details within seven days after carrying out study and research on the possibilities and impact of the pipeline expansion project for easy supply of gas.

He further instructed the Nepal LP Gas, Oil Corporation and the Ministry to ensure quality check by conducting regular monitoring to minimize the risk to consumers from the use of old gas cylinders.
