Kathmandu. Argentina defeated England to reach the final of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Argentina defeated England 2-1 in the final of the FIFA World Cup 2018 at the Atlanta Stadium in the United States. Argentina has reached the World Cup final for the second time in a row.

Earlier in the previous edition, Argentina won the World Cup by defeating France. England took the lead in the first half of the match. Anthony Gordon scored the first goal for England in the 55th minute. Argentina’s Enzo Fernandez scored the equalizer in the 85th minute.

Lautaro Martinez scored in the second minute of extra time to give Argentina a 2-1 lead. With this, Argentina has secured a place in the World Cup final.
