Kathmandu. Landslides, falling stones and muddy on various highways across the country have affected vehicular movement due to incessant rainfall.
According to Nepal Police, the Kanti Highway in Makwanpur has come into operation from this morning after the landslide cleared.
Vehicular movement has come to a complete halt after a landslide occurred at Ghattepakha of Bakaiya rural municipality-11 in Makwanpur district on Wednesday evening.
All types of vehicular movement has been prohibited along the Khurkot-Nepalthok-Katunjebesi BP Highway from 6:00 pm to 4:00 am in view of possible floods.
All types of vehicles have been banned on the Kanti Highway in Makwanpur from 5:00 pm to 5:00 am due to the risk of monsoon.
Meanwhile, the Mechi Highway at Rajduwali of Ilam municipality-9 has been completely obstructed due to mud. They have been requested to use an alternative route of the said route.
Arghakhanchi: The road section along the Saljhandi-Dhorpatan road section of Panini rural municipality-2 in Arghakhanchi district has been completely disrupted due to landslides.
Similarly, the Araniko Highway at Jirokilo of Bhotekoshi rural municipality-4 in Sindhupalchowk has been obstructed due to landslide, said Nepal Police and the Department of Roads and other agencies are continuing their efforts to resume the obstructed road.
