More than 3 million contributors contribute Rs 116 billion to social security fund 

{{TAG_OPEN_div_20} Kathmandu. A total of Rs 116.71 billion has been contributed to the social security fund.

The contribution amount has been deposited till the end of the fiscal year 2082/83. The amount has been deposited by the listed employer and the listed contributor.

According to the fund, the number of listed employers has reached 23,490 while the number of listed contributors has reached 3,043,200.TAG_OPEN_div_16 The fund has paid claims worth Rs 21.27 billion.

Likewise, Rs TAG_OPEN_div_14 3.52 billion has been provided towards medical treatment, health and maternity claims.

The government has provided Rs 304,66,06,514 as accident and disability security claims, Rs 380,425,216 as dependent family security claim and Rs 17.06 billion as retirement claim. Lately, the contribution amount has increased after the workers going for foreign employment were included in the fund.

The general public’TAG_OPEN_div_10 s interest in the fund is increasing as pension, medical treatment and other social security programmes have also been forwarded. The Fund has started investing in various productive sectors. It is believed to have multi-dimensional benefits.
