Kathmandu. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the influence of monsoon wind is taking place throughout the country at present.

According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, monsoon trough is north of normal in the western region of Nepal and is around the normal place in the eastern region. The weather is generally cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rain is taking place at few places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Heavy rain is predicted in one or two places of the hilly region of Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces.

The weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly and mountainous region today. The weather will be generally cloudy in the Tarai region of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces. The weather will be partly cloudy in the Tarai region of Madhes and Koshi province. Light rain will occur in ÷ places while light snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous area.

Light rain or thunder likely to occur at few places of the Tarai region of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at one or two places of the Tarai region of Koshi Province and Madhes Province and Sudur Pashchim Province. Heavy rain is predicted in one or two places of the hilly region of Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces.

Tonight, it will be generally cloudy throughout the country. Light rain or thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at a few places of the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Light rain or thunder likely to occur at some places of the Tarai region of Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province and at one or two places of Tarai Province of Koshi Province and at one or two places of Tarai Province of Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province and at one or two places of Tarai Province of Sudurpaschim Province. There are chances of heavy rain in one or two places of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at one or two places of Koshi province.

The Department has urged one and all to stay updated on the latest information of the Department as there are chances of it affecting daily life as well as agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road and air transport to be safe from the risk or damage of disasters such as mudslide, flood, landslide and soil erosion in the areas where rainfall occurs.
