Fair investigation will be conducted into the incidents that took place in various districts of Madhes.

Kathmandu. Prime Minister Balen Shah has said that an impartial investigation would be carried out into the incidents that took place in Dewangunj, Siraha and other places of Sunsari.

In his address to the nation, he urged all Nepalis to maintain social harmony. He said that anyone involved in the incident will be brought to book.

“I want to assure you that this investigation will be completely fair and transparent,” Balen said. ’

On the occasion, the Prime Minister extended heartfelt tributes to Jaya Prakash Mehta, Om Prakash Mehta and Ganesh Yadav who lost their lives in the incident.

“We have already given clear instructions to the health bodies concerned to ensure that there is no shortage or delay in the treatment of the injured,” he said.

The Home Ministry has already formed a probe committee to conduct an impartial investigation into the incident and take stern action against the guilty, he said.

He appealed to one and all not to disseminate false information, rumours and hatred through social media and other means. “Let us trust only on the official facts and information issued by the government bodies. ’

He said it was the supreme responsibility of the state to protect the life and property of the citizens, to maintain social harmony and to maintain peace.

He said that it would not be fair to blame an entire community for what happened in one place and spread the fire of revenge across the country.
