Kathmandu. The troubled cooperative management committee has returned the savings of small savers of Shiva Shikhar Cooperative.

According to the committee, 56 victims of Shiva Shikhar Cooperatives have received back their savings. So far, about 1400 savers of Shiva Shikhar Cooperative have received their money back. The government, however, has not disclosed the amount.

In the first phase, the money was returned to the savers who had a small amount of savings, the committee said. In the same way, the amount will be returned by classifying the amount of the saver respectively.

The government has clarified that the amount received from the loan recovery of the troubled cooperatives has been returned to the affected savers.

The task of recovering loans from the troubled cooperatives and returning the savings from the money received from the management of the cooperatives to the savers of the cooperatives is being carried out continuously as per the prevailing legal provisions.
