Kathmandu. A 5-point agreement has been reached between the government and the microfinance victims.
A team led by Mahesh Acharya, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, held talks with the microfinance survivors today.
After the conclusion of the talks held on Friday, a 5-point agreement was reached. With this, their agitation has been suspended.
As per the agreement, the task force formed earlier to resolve the problems of microfinance victims will submit its recommendation along with the implementation plan within 15 days to implement the report.
Likewise, the Home Ministry has directed the District Administration Office to take action against the microfinance institutions for torture for loan recovery, taking goods from their homes and arresting the employees of the institutions staying at home until the installment is paid.
