Kathmandu. Five persons including three non-gazetted first class officers of the Lagankhel-based Land Administration Office (Land Administration) in Lalitpur have been arrested with bribe amounting to three lakhs.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has found non-gazetted first class officers Uttam Kunwar, Bishal Sundas and Raj Kumar Magar of Land Administration Office and accountants Shailendra Rana Magar and Samir Katawal to take bribe in order to get the land beavers.

Following the information, a team from the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Tangal arrested them from a hotel based in Lalitpur Metropolitan City-4 on July 30 after taking bribe of Rs 300,000 from service seekers.

The anti-graft body has also recovered Rs 300,000 as bribe and Rs 24,890 from them.
