Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal received 71,775 tourists in the month of July 2026.

According to the statistics made public by the Nepal Tourism Board, the number of tourists in Nepal is 2.3 percent more than the figure of the same month last year. A total of 70,193 foreign tourists visited Nepal in July 2025.

According to the Tourism Board, the highest number of tourists arrived in July from India. A total of 23,490 tourists from India have visited Nepal so far. This total of 32. 73 percent. The number of tourists from China has increased significantly in July. A total of 11,099 Chinese tourists visited Nepal in July 2026. This is 61.09 percent more than the 6,890 in July last year.

In July 2019, 10,215 tourists from China had visited Nepal. Chinese tourist arrivals are 8.65 percent above the pre-Covid level. The United States is in third place. A total of 7,754 tourists arrived from the United States in July. Likewise, 4,179 tourists from Bangladesh, 3,773 from the UK and 2,428 from Australia visited Nepal.

Regionally, the highest number of tourists coming from South Asian countries is the highest. A total of 29,755 tourists from SAARC countries visited Nepal in July, which is 41.46 percent of the total arrivals. However, this number is 11.93 percent less than the previous year’s 33,787. The number of tourists from Bhutan is 991. Tourist arrivals from Pakistan increased by 3.94 percent to 475. Sri Lanka visited 581 tourist arrivals, which is 598 in the previous year and 39 from the Maldives, a decrease of 2.84 percent.

A total of 17,424 tourists from other Asian countries have visited Nepal in July. This is 24.28 percent of the total arrivals. In July last year, 13,052 tourists had visited Nepal. On this basis, other Asian markets increased by 33.05 percent. After China, 1,394 tourists from South Korea, 1,380 from Malaysia, 1,111 from Japan, 574 from Vietnam, 437 each from Singapore and Myanmar and 428 from Thailand came from the group.

A total of 9,279 tourists arrived in Nepal from Europe in July. Europe accounted for 12.93 percent of the total arrivals. Likewise, 3,773 tourists from the United Kingdom, 723 from Germany, 681 from Spain, 644 from France, 514 from the Netherlands, 489 from Portugal and 467 from Russia.

A total of 8,824 tourists have visited Nepal from the US. A total of 2,607 tourists arrived from Oceania. A total of 736 tourists arrived from the Middle East in July. A total of 324 tourists from African countries visited Nepal in July.
