One dies after falling into Kaligandaki river

Baglung. A man has died after falling from the water level of the Kaligandaki river in Baglung due to incessant rains.

Chitra Gotame, 55, died after falling from a mound at Odharchaur of Baglung municipality-4 on Sunday evening while observing the erosion at Farse village of Jaljala and Dhodeni of Baglung municipality-4 in Parbat district, said Superintendent of Police (SP) at the District Police Office, Phanindra Prasain.TAG_OPEN_div_11

Meanwhile, 10 people have died and one has gone missing in landslides triggered by incessant rains in Baglung. There has been a huge loss of life in the district in the last two days due to rains. On Sunday alone, nine people died and one is missing. One person died on Saturday.TAG_OPEN_div_9

According to Police Chief Prasain, four people died in Tamankhola Rural Municipality, one went missing and five others died in Nisikhola Rural Municipality on Sunday.TAG_OPEN_div_7
