Kathmandu. The accident took place when a car (State 3 01-24 Cha 9573) plunged into the Sunkoshi River near Nawalpurghat of Fikkal-2 in Sindhuli district.
A passenger bus (Ba 08-001 Kha 0144) heading to Sisneri of Oldhunga from Kathmandu hit the car at around 11.30 am and fell some 50 meters down into the river.
Contractor Dil Bahadur Tamang and local Ganesh Thapa were among those travelling in the car, according to Som Prasad Baral, ward chairman of Golanjor-2.
Another person is believed to be in the car. Locals, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police have been mobilised for rescue and relief operation.
