Persa. The District Disaster Management Committee of the District Administration Office has appealed to one and all to adopt special preparedness and high alertness during the time of monsoon-induced disaster.
Issuing a notice today, the Committee has urged the people affected by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology to adopt precaution as the water level in the river will be high due to very heavy rainfall and the risk of inundation in low-lying areas as per the latest forecast of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
The committee has also suggested identifying shelters and open spaces for disaster forecasting and minimizing the possible damage, and to keep the information in the official bulletin of the Division and media information regularly.
The District Administration Office has also asked the authorities to manage their documents including citizenship, land ownership certificate, educational certificate and cash and belongings in a safe manner as well as to prepare an emergency bag with dry food, essential medicines and clean drinking water for the emergency situation.
The locals have been urged to contact the official numbers of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force or District Emergency Work Operation Centre, Parsa who are on standby 24×7 for rescue, search and relief in case of monsoon-induced disaster.
