Kathmandu. Lawmakers have protested against the police operation carried out at the residence of Biratnagar-based industrialist Beni Gopal Mundada on Monday.

In the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, lawmaker Guru Prasad Baral strongly condemned the incident. He said that Biratnagar has been disturbed by the government’s activities. He claimed that such activities have shocked, worried and terrified the industrial and business houses.

“Yesterday, a reputed family that has been doing economic business in Biratnagar for decades, and an industrial house that has been investing in food, education, aviation and industrial sectors of Biratnagar for a long time was suddenly surrounded at 5:00 am and investigated like a big international smuggler,” he said, adding, “This has seriously damaged the reputation of this family.” How can the government compensate for the damage to the reputation of Beni Gopal Mundra’s family? This has had a very negative impact on the private sector. Prosperity cannot come in this way. The incident has disturbed Biratnagar. The industrial and business houses are shocked, worried and terrified.
