Strict implementation of agreements in industrial sector, notice pasted at the gate of industry after refusing to accept letter

Kathmandu. Following the directive of Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Gauri Kumari Yadav, the implementation of the agreement has been tightened in the industrial sector.

Continental Component Services Pvt. Ltd. is said to have violated the agreement at the branch office of Industrial Area Management Limited, Balaju. He has been asked to appear for the discussion.

The letter sent by the branch office Balaju to the industry has raised the issue of non-compliance of various terms and conditions of the agreement between the industry and the office.

The office has been informing the industry time and again in writing from time to time before this, urging the industry to operate as per the objectives of the agreement.

However, after the representatives of the industry refused to accept the letter from the office, the letter was pasted on the gate of the industry.

According to the office, although the agreement had provided land for the operation of the vehicle repair and servicing industry, the activities were found against the objectives of the agreement. The letter of the office states that the purpose of repairing and servicing the vehicles has been mentioned in the registration certificate of the industry, but the work has not been done as per the plan.

The office had given instructions with a deadline to work as per the terms of the agreement. The letter also warned of cancelling the agreement if the work was not carried out within the stipulated time.

After this, the office disconnected the electricity and water supply to the industry. Although the industry has disagreed that production has been stopped due to the service cut, the agreement has a provision to resolve the disputes between the sector and the industry through mutual discussion, according to the office.

The industries within the industrial area are required to operate their business as per the objectives mentioned in the agreement and the management has initiated the process to take necessary steps if the terms and conditions of the agreement are violated.

The branch office, Balaju, through the latest letter, has requested the industry to attend the discussion within 7 days and move ahead as per the terms of the agreement. However, the incident of refusing to accept the letter by pasting a letter at the gate of the industry has indicated that the implementation of the Industrial Area Management Agreement will be more strict.
