Kathmandu. Police have arrested journalist Kishor Shrestha.

He was arrested from Bagdol of Lalitpur today, police said.

A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested Shrestha. He was arrested on charges of violating personal privacy.

A case has been registered against him at the District Police Range, Kathmandu on the charge of Privacy Act.

Shrestha is the proprietor and editor of Jana Aastha Weekly and JanaAastha.com. He is also the former acting chair of Press Council Nepal. He is also the Senior Vice President of the World Press Council.
