Still. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has claimed that the new budget has been brought with the objective of building the country from Nepal’s income.
He made this claim during the annual review program of the District Coordination Committee Tanahun on Thursday.
According to him, the government has adopted a policy to increase income by collecting small amounts by widening the tax net and developing the country from one’s own income.
“There is no alternative to the country to become rich when the country’s capacity is less compared to the people’s hopes and aspirations for development,” he said.
“We’ve been seeing that since the past. We are paying the loan and its interest by taking a loan. The liability of the regular and essential state is 1350 billion. The government’s income is only around Rs 1250 billion,” he said. Wagle said, “Now we have widened the tax rate and introduced incentive programs to pay the tax. ”
Finance Minister Wagle also said that everyone should rise above the thinking that they should not take loan, no tax should be paid, but development should be done at any cost. He urged the public to remain assured that the government will save the people from the liability of the final tax to address the complaints that tax has been added to new sectors due to the widening of the tax net.
He also clarified that the government was trying to make the economy of Rs 66 trillion dynamic by stirring up the private sector through the budget of Rs 2124 billion. He also said that an environment conducive for non-resident Nepalis to invest in Nepal would be forwarded soon.
