Rastriya Banijya Bank’s net profit rises 60.68 percent

. KATHMANDU: Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) has published its financial statements for the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year. According to the bank’s financial report, the profit has increased by 60.68 percent.

The bank has earned a net profit of Rs 4.55 billion in the review period of the last FY.TAG_OPEN_div_24 The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 2.83 billion in the same period last year.

The net interest income of the bank has increased till the end of July and the impairment charge has decreased. As a result, the bank’s profit has jumped.  The distributable profit of the bank stood at Rs 1.07 billion as of mid-July of the last FY.

The bank’s net interest income increased by 17.85 percent to Rs 11.TAG_OPEN_div_19 96 billion in the first quarter of the current fiscal year. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 10.15 billion in the same period last year.

During the period, the net fee and commission income increased by 8.34 percent to Rs 1.TAG_OPEN_div_17 63 billion. Similarly, the bank’s total income increased by 14.19 percent to Rs 15.05 billion and operating profit by 64.26 percent to Rs 6.47 billion.

The bank’s impairment charge decreased from Rs 2.23 billion to Rs 84.7 TAG_OPEN_div_15 9 crore in the review period.  With the increase in profit, the bank’s earnings per share has also increased. In the review period, the income of the bank increased by Rs 11 to Rs 29.14.

The bank has a paid-up capital of Rs 15.63 billion and reserve fund of Rs 40.45 billion.TAG_OPEN_div_13 During the review period, the bank’s deposits were 37. Loans have increased by 11 percent and loans have increased by 13.60 percent.
