Rolpa. Two persons died and two others were injured and 10 others are still missing when a landslide buried a house and cowshed at Botalbara of Thabang rural municipality-5 in the district.

The deceased have been identified as Shanti Pun Magar, 18, and Kamal Bahadur Pun Magar, 60, of Thabang-5 while the injured have been identified as Himal Pun Magar, 22, and Sanjaya Gharti Magar, 25, of the same locality.

According to the information provided by the office, the landslide caused by incessant rainfall since August 27 had buried the houses and cowsheds. A police team reached the spot last night.

The injured have been rescued with the help of police and locals and sent to health facilities for treatment. Further details of the incident are awaited, police said. According to the preliminary estimate of the police, six houses and sheds have been damaged in the landslide.
