Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has laid special emphasis on making foreign visits in government service more systematic and economical.

Issuing circulars to all ministries and government bodies, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) has issued a circular to all ministries and government bodies directing them to take prior approval before making the enrolment of employees for foreign travels from now onwards, shared the Office of the Prime Minister’s Office. This system is believed to play an important role in making foreign visits systematic, transparent and economical.

In addition to this, a new task has been initiated to institutionally utilize the learning gained from foreign visits within the government mechanism. It has been made mandatory to share the knowledge, skills, experience and good practices gained by the employees by participating in various foreign studies, visits, trainings, meetings, seminars, seminars, workshops and conferences to other employees of their own office.

For this, a letter has been sent to all the bodies to make arrangements for the concerned employees to share learning and experience among other employees of the bodies they are working for within five days of attending the office after completing a foreign trip.

The new move of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (PMO) is believed to further strengthen the objective and relevance of foreign visits by bringing foreign visits under the ambit of prior approval and compulsorily institutionalizing the exchange of knowledge gained upon return.
