Hetauda. The Bagmati Province government has assigned the regional responsibility of the provincial secretary after the merger of the ministry.

A meeting of the Province Council of Ministers held on August 12 decided to assign regional responsibilities to the provincial secretaries until the organization and management survey of the merged ministries is completed.

Spokesperson of the provincial government and Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Prabhat Tamang said that Mahesh Bhattarai has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Law and Cooperatives.

Similarly, Jivlal Bhusal has been appointed as the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Anita Niraula has been appointed as the Minister of Labour and Transport, and Dipendra Subedi has been appointed as the Minister of Culture and Tourism.

Likewise, Geeta Kumari Homegain has been appointed as the youth and sports sector, Dr Sumitra Gautam in the health sector and Khubiram Adhikari in the social sector under the Ministry of Health and Social Development.

Dr Kedar Baral has been assigned the responsibility of forest and environment under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Environment while Sudhir Shrestha has been given the responsibility of agriculture and livestock sector.

Spokesperson Tamang said that the responsibility would remain in place until the organization and management survey of the merged ministries is completed.
