Kathmandu. The influence of monsoon wind is prevailing throughout the country at present.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the monsoon low pressure trough is near the average place in the east and near Nepal towards the north of the average place in the west.

Heavy rain is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly region of Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces tonight.

The Division has urged people to stay alert as there is a risk of mudslide, flood, landslide and soil erosion in the areas prone to heavy rainfall.
