Kathmandu. Minister for Foreign Affairs Shishir Khanal has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and property due to the earthquake in Flores Island of Indonesia.

Stating that Nepal has understood the pain and sorrow of natural disasters, Minister Khanal has expressed solidarity and sympathy to the Indonesian government and people on behalf of the Government of Nepal and Nepali people.

“The Government and people of Nepal express heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of those who lost their lives in the earthquake and wish for the speedy recovery of the injured,” he wrote in X, wishing for the safety, rescue and relief as well as speedy rehabilitation of all those affected, disappeared and displaced by the earthquake.
