Kathmandu. At least three persons died and two others are still missing in a landslide that occurred at Risang of Bheri Municipality-2 in Jajarkot on Sunday morning.
Kedar Karki, 52, of Saldhara of the same municipality-2 died while undergoing treatment at the Kohalpur Medical College. The bodies of Uma Singh Khatri, 54, and Rati Khatri, 83, of the same locality were recovered, said Armed Police Force (APF) Deputy Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa.
The whereabouts of Bhami Bahadur Karki, 70, of Chisapani and Harish BK, 14, of Gairigaun are yet to be detected. The injured are Ram Bahadur Shahi, 62, Siddhi Bahadur Kami, 45, Kamala Karki, 58, Anita Karki, 23, Yunish Shahi, 10, Suntali Chadara, 45, and Bhadrakala Karki, 61. Among the injured, the condition of Ram Bahadur and Bhadrakala is critical. They have been sent to Nepalgunj and Surkhet for treatment.
A joint team comprising Armed Police Force (NA) and Armed Police Force (APF) led by Inspector Kamal Karki has been mobilized to search for the missing in the landslide this morning. The landslide has damaged eight houses.
