Kavrepalanchok. Two persons who died in a jeep accident that took place at Khanikhola rural municipality-1, Syauthali this afternoon have been identified.
The deceased have been identified as Anita Moktan, 24, of Khanikhola-2 and Kalak Bahadur Majhi, 61, of Khanikhola-4, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabin Bista.
The injured have been identified as Rahul Tamang, 25, of Banepa municipality-14, Pradip Jarga Magar, 24, of Khanikhola-3, Bouddha Man Lama, of Khanikhola-5, Dhanapati Rawal of Chautara municipality, Sindhupalchowk and jeep driver Yash Bahadur Tamang, 28, of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality, Sindhuli.
The accident took place when the jeep fell some 300 meters down from the road along the Panauti-Taldhunga inner road section this morning.
According to Information Officer Bista, the condition of Lama and Rawal is critical. The jeep was heading towards Banepa from Khanikhola when the accident took place. According to the police, the accident might have occurred due to brake failure.
