Monsoon active: Heavy rain forecast at some places of these provinces

. At present, there is the influence of monsoon wind throughout the country. The monsoon low pressure trough is around the normal place in the east and close to the northern part of Nepal in the west.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, rainfall is taking place in western Nepal due to its influence.TAG_OPEN_div_10 Partly cloudy weather will occur across the country this afternoon. Light rain will occur in ÷ places while light snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous area.

Possibility remains for brief rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at many places of the hilly region and at a few places of the Tarai region.TAG_OPEN_div_8 Heavy rain is predicted at one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds is likely at some places of Tarai and Madhes provinces of Koshi Province.

Light rain and snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the hilly and mountainous region tonight.TAG_OPEN_div_6 Tonight, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim ÷provinces.
