62 per cent progress in dam construction of Tanahun hydropower project

Little. The construction of a 140-metre high main dam under Package-1 of the Tanahun Hydropower Project at Rishing Rural Municipality of Tanahun has achieved 62 per cent progress.

Core drilling, water pressure testing, consolidation grouting and curtain grouting have been carried out in various grouting galleries for the stability of the dam foundation.TAG_OPEN_div_14

Bhandari said that works like installation of shortcrete, wire mesh and construction of gabions are also being carried out continuously for slope stabilization and river conservation.TAG_OPEN_div_12
