Non-Life Insurance Company’s Profit Declines By 38.49%

. Non-life insurance companies have earned a net profit of Rs 2.72 billion in the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year 2082/83. The profit was 38.49 percent lower than the corresponding period of the previous year. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 4.43 billion in the previous year.

The profit of most non-life insurance companies has decreased during the review period.TAG_OPEN_div_140 Prabhu Insurance’s net profit increased by 19.71 percent to Rs 24.64 crore. Rastriya Beema Company’s net profit fell 19.46 percent to Rs 34.44 crore.

Oriental Insurance has posted a net profit of Rs 49.TAG_OPEN_div_138 05 crore. The company had posted a net loss of Rs 11.76 crore in the previous year.

Himalayan Everest Insurance Company Ltd (36.53 per cent) to Rs 337 million, Siddhartha Premier (56.75 per cent) to Rs 326.9 million and Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance (22.35 per cent) to Rs 31.31 crore.TAG_OPEN_div_136

Likewise, Neco Insurance Company posted a net profit of 50.19 percent, Shikhar Insurance by 71.22 percent, Sanima GIC by 61.39 percent and Nepal Insurance by 59.69 percent.TAG_OPEN_div_134

United Ajod’s profit fell 64.5 TAG_OPEN_div_132 5 per cent, NLG Insurance 62.31 per cent and IGI Prudential 98.89 per cent. National Insurance Company (NI) posted a loss of Rs 13.11 crore as against Rs 150.7 million in the previous year.
