Tokha-Chhahare road to be closed at night

Nuwakot. NUWAKOT: The Nuwakot district administration has halted vehicular movement along the Tokha-Chhahare road section during night due to incessant rainfall.

According to Nuwakot’s Chief District Officer Shambhu Prasad Regmi, the vehicular movement along the main road linking Dhading via Nuwakot to Rasuwagadhi has been closed from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am every day due to the increasing risk of landslides.TAG_OPEN_div_14

Vehicles except essential ones have been prohibited for the safety of the passengers along the Tokha-Chhahare road section at Ghattekhola of Shivapuri Rural Municipality-8 in the district.TAG_OPEN_div_12 This provision, which came into effect from the night of August 1, will remain in place until further notice.

Chief District Officer Regmi said that emergency vehicles including ambulances would be allowed to operate while security personnel will be deployed in vulnerable areas.TAG_OPEN_div_10 He urged the general public, transport entrepreneurs and all concerned not to go out of the house and travel during night except for emergency works during the rainy season.
