Kathmandu. The weather is generally cloudy throughout the country today as the influence of monsoon wind is prevailing throughout the country and the monsoon low pressure trough is around the average location.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is taking place at some places of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at one or two places of Lumbini province.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country towards the afternoon. Light rain will occur in some places while light snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous area. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible at a few places of the Tarai and Madhes regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at a few places of Koshi and Lumbini provinces in this afternoon.

There are chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places of the hilly region of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

The weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country tonight. Likewise, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at a few places of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Similarly, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at many places of the hilly region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at some places of the hilly region of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. There are chances of moderate rain in some places of Madhes and Gandaki Province, Koshi, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there are chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places of the hilly region of Koshi and Bagmati Province and at one or two places of Tarai region of Gandaki Province.

The Division has stated that there is a risk of mudslide, flood, landslide and soil erosion in the areas where there is the possibility of heavy rainfall and affecting daily life as well as agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road and air transport. The Division has also urged the people to stay updated on the weather updates to be issued by the Division.
