Kathmandu. As per the law, Nepal Rastra Bank has to make public the Monetary Policy on July 1 of every fiscal year. The 27th meeting of the Finance Committee under the House of Representatives (HoR) of the House of Representatives (HoR) held clause-wise discussions on the bill designed to amend the Nepal Rastra Bank Act-2058 BS and fixed the date for unveiling the monetary policy on July 17.

Clause-wise discussions on the Nepal Rastra Bank Act (Amendment) Bill were underway in the meeting. During the discussion, it was decided to make the time for the release of the monetary policy definite and legally binding.

After the implementation of the new system, Nepal Rastra Bank will have to make public the Monetary Policy for the coming fiscal year on the same day i.e. July 15 of every fiscal year.
