Kathmandu. Rasuwa: A team of 45 teams from the Disaster Rescue Battalion of the Armed Police Force (APF) has been sent to Nuwakot to rescue the people affected by the flooding in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.

Armed Police Force (APF) co-designate Shailendra Thapa said 100 beds have been kept at Nepal APF Hospital for treatment of the injured.

Three platoons of security personnel from the Riot Control Regiment of the Armed Police Force (APF) have been kept on standby at Kathmandu-based airport, he said. The details of the damage caused by the floods in Rasuwa are yet to be ascertained, said the APF.

The Armed Police Force (APF) has been deployed for rescue in flood-affected areas. A large number of security personnel have been mobilized from Nuwakot, UN Peace Keeping Training Academy Kakani, Dhading Battalion, Disaster Management Base Adamghat and No 17 Battalion Chitwan.
