NC President Thapa urges Nepali Congress cadres to be on high alert in risk of floods

. Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Kumar Thapa has urged the people affected by the floods in Rasuwa district to adopt high alertness. Issuing a press release today, Thapa appealed to all living on the lower banks of the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers and their adjoining areas to stay safe.

Calling on the government to expedite rescue and relief efforts in this hour of disaster, Thapa urged the government to mobilize all the state mechanisms in a war footing.TAG_OPEN_div_10 Stressing the need of effective coordination among all three tiers of government in disaster management, rescue and relief works, he pledged full support of the NC in this campaign.

Likewise, President Thapa has directed all the subordinate committees of the Nepali Congress to immediately deploy in their respective committees.TAG_OPEN_div_8 He also appealed to the party leadership and all members of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan districts, which are directly affected by the floods, to immediately mobilize in the rescue and relief distribution of the families in the vulnerable settlements along the river banks.
