Securities Board of Nepal approves two new Mutual Funds

Kathmandu. The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has approved the publication of two new closed-ended mutual investment schemes. With the approval of the Board, two new mutual funds have been opened under the management of NIC Asia Capital and Muktinath Capital.

The board has approved the NIC Asia Equity Opportunity Fund, which will be operated under the issue and sale management of NIC Asia Capital Limited on August 26. The fund will issue a total of 8 crore units. The price per unit has been fixed at Rs 10 crore. Accordingly, the total size of the fund will be Rs 80 crore.TAG_OPEN_div_14

Similarly, Muktinath Mutual Fund-2 will also be operated under the issue and sale manager of Muktinath Capital Limited. The fund will issue 100 million units. At the rate of Rs 10 per unit, its total size will be Rs 1 billion.TAG_OPEN_div_12

Both the schemes are closed-oriented in nature and their tenure has been fixed at 10 years. After getting permission from the board to publish the brochure, both the funds will now be able to proceed with the process of issue of units for the general public and other investors.

With the arrival of the new two schemes, the option of collective investment scheme will also be added in the Nepali capital market.TAG_OPEN_div_8
