This estimate is only preliminary. So far, the exact figure of how much damage has been done has not been received.

According to non-life insurance companies, out of Rs 10 billion, about Rs 6 billion will be claimed for hydropower projects. As of the time of writing this news, the floods have caused a lot of damage to the ongoing and under-construction hydropower projects in Rasuwa and Nuwakot.

Similarly, according to the preliminary study, 9 branches of different banks have been damaged. Due to the floods, there has been a lot of damage in the market areas of various affected 5 districts. It is estimated that the offices and other areas of these areas may have been insured.

The companies claim that the houses and businesses in these areas have also been insured. Similarly, resorts and various farms around the Trishuli River have also been insured. Due to this, the claim amount is expected to increase. Due to the trickery of some businessmen, the insurance has increased but the loss has increased. Due to under-invoicing, there have been complaints that due to the insurance of Rs 1 crore, more than 45 lakh has been incurred.

More than 40 bridges in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and Chitwan districts have been damaged due to floods. Of these, 32 bridges have been completely damaged. It has caused damage worth billions of rupees. Due to the floods, 15 bridges in Nuwakot, 13 in Rasuwa, 4 in Dhading and three partially have been damaged.

Similarly, 4 bridges have been damaged in Chitwan. More than 300 containers at Rasuwa Customs have been damaged due to the floods.
