Kathmandu. Cimex Inc., the authorized distributor and local partner of BYD in Nepal. BYD, in collaboration with Pvt. Ltd., has announced to contribute Rs 70 million to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund for relief and rehabilitation in Rasuwa district and other areas affected by the recent devastating floods.
At a time when the people of the flood-affected areas are facing a difficult situation, BYD and Cimex have announced this assistance expressing solidarity and commitment to the people of Nepal and the affected communities. The assistance will be mobilized for relief and rehabilitation work through the official mechanism of the government through the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
This assistance is expected to support the rescue and treatment, immediate relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction of damaged infrastructures in the flood-affected areas. It will also help the affected families and communities to return to normal and rebuild local infrastructure.
Rasuwa district has suffered a lot of damage due to the recent floods. Rasuwa is also an important trade route of the country, which is an important gateway connecting Nepal and China. This area is also of special importance as a major trade route for the import of BYD vehicles in Nepal.
