Kathmandu. Chitwan Medical College (CMC) Teaching Hospital has decided to provide free emergency health services to the flood-affected people in Rasuwa.

Expressing sorrow over the loss of life and property on the banks of the rivers in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and other districts, the college pledged to provide medical assistance to the people affected by the disaster.

The hospital will provide free emergency health check-up, first aid and admission services to the injured citizens affected by floods, landslides and inundations. The emergency ward of the hospital will be fully operational for 24 hours and seven days, giving priority to the treatment of the injured and affected citizens due to the disaster.

A separate emergency response team (emergency response team) with specialist doctors, nursing manpower, ambulance and necessary medicines and equipment has been kept on standby depending on the disaster situation. According to a statement issued by Pratap Devkota, managing director of the college, the team can be deployed at the incident site or in the disaster-affected area if needed.

The college has pledged to cooperate and coordinate with the government of Nepal, Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene, local administration, local level, security agencies and other stakeholders.
