Kathmandu. Madhav Aryal, chairman of Uttargaya Rural Municipality in Rasuwa district, has expressed serious dissatisfaction with the relief and rescue efforts of the federal government.

Adhikari, who is in the worst-hit areas, shared his experience through social media and said that the state’s presence has not been felt effectively even in basic works ranging from rescuing the injured to managing the dead bodies.TAG_OPEN_p_11

} He said that they had coordinated with the Prime Minister’s Office and all the agencies concerned to rescue the injured but there was no hearing. He said that they had to take the injured to Dhunche Hospital after about 10 hours via Kalikasthan-Jivjiwe Hospital.

} “There are 50 bodies on the banks of the river. It is difficult to manage even the bodies identified by the family members,” he noted.

According to Aryal, the mobile network has also been affected due to the disruption of power supply after the floods. He was able to connect with the outside world only after he was able to use the internet by charging the mobile from the backup electricity of the cooperative office.
