Tanahun. The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Tanahun Distribution Center has recovered Rs 2,02,83,104 dues in the fiscal year 2082/83 by cutting the power line of the customers who did not pay the electricity bills.

Dil Bahadur Ale, an engineer at the center, said that the power lines of 794 consumers were re-installed after paying the electricity bills of 25.78 million 88 thousand 280 electricity bills in the period.

In the fiscal year 2081/82, the Centre had disconnected power lines to pay Rs 1,27,15,786 and in the fiscal year 2080/81, it had disconnected power lines to 1,436 consumers and recovered Rs 26,845,700.

In the financial year 2082/83, it sold 87.76 million 13,787 units of electricity. Engineer Ale said that he earned Rs 1,01,11,12,126 from the sale of electricity. During this period, 1,895 new meters were installed. After 49 transformers were burnt, new transformers were installed and 10 new load centers were added.

Under the distribution center, there are six substations, 30 11 KV feeders, 107 KM 33 KV line, 939 KM 11 KV line, 4328 KM 0.4/0.23 KV distribution line and 673 transformers.

The distribution center has been providing service to 10 local levels of Tanahun, some parts of Ward 3 and 4 of Rupa Rural Municipality of Kaski, Ward 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of Madhya Nepal Municipality of Lamjung and some parts of Baudikali and Bulingtar Rural Municipality of Nawalpur.

A total of 170 workers including 60 permanent, 37 daily wage earners, 34 service contractors, 19 people and 20 security personnel are working at the distribution center.

The Centre has been working to upgrade 11/0.4 kV transmission line, maintain it, strengthen and upgrade it, add load centers of different capacity as per the need, provide reliable, quality and reliable electricity to the customers and manage complaints related to new meter installation and metering.
