Kathmandu. Transport services on major highways and road sections of various districts including Rasuwa have been affected due to floods and landslides.

According to the Department of Roads, several roads in Ilam, Kavrepalanchowk, Makawanpur, Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts have been obstructed.

Landslides have affected the Tokha-Chhahare road section at Ghaderi Khola area of Shivapuri rural municipality-5 in Nuwakot district while the Hetauda-Tingan-Bagmati-Lalitpur road section of Makwanpur district has been closed for possible flood and landslide.

The police have urged one and all to take precaution before travelling and take precaution in risky areas as the road could be obstructed at any time due to incessant rain, flood and landslide.
