Kathmandu. Maharudri, Abhishek, Havan and Puja will be performed at Pashupatinath Temple and Chandi Path at Guheshwori Temple with wishes for the welfare of those affected by floods, landslides and other disasters in Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers.
The Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) is organizing Maharudri, Chandipatha and Kshama Puja from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on September 30 with a wish for the speedy ease of life of those affected by floods, landslides and disasters, speedy recovery of the injured and rescue of the disappeared people.
According to Kedar Man Bhandari, a member of the board of directors of the trust, 121 Brahmins will perform Maharudri, Abhishek, Havan and Puja at Lord Pashupatinath. At Guheshwori Shaktipeeth, nine Brahmins will perform Chandi recitation and worship.
He further informed that special apology and peace recitation would be offered to Nawashaktipeeth, Agamghar, 11 Maharudra, 10 Dikpals, Chhetrapal and other gods and goddesses of Pashupatinath with tantric and Vedic rituals.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the Executive Committee presided over by Treasurer Meena Kumari Shrestha, who is also the acting member-secretary of the PADT, also decided to contribute Rs seven lakhs to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund, Bhandari said.
