Kathmandu. The death toll due to flooding in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa has reached 987.
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, the highest number of bodies of 321 people have been found in Chitwan as of Tuesday morning. Similarly, 216 bodies were found in Nawalparasi East, 170 in Nawalparasi West, 95 in Nuwakot, 65 in Gorkha, 55 in Dhading, 38 in Tanahun and 27 in Rasuwa.
Among the 3,916 out of them, 25 are from the Nepal Police, 45 from the Nepal Army, 13 from the Armed Police Force (APF), 15 from the Customs Office and three from the Immigration Office.
So far, 279 people have been injured and 168 people have been discharged from various hospitals after treatment and 11,814 people have been rescued, according to the NRA. Similarly, 21,011 security personnel have been deployed, according to the authority.
