Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance donates Rs. 51 lakhs to Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund

Kathmandu. Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance has contributed Rs 51 lakh to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund.

The cheque was handed over by Sanjhana Aryal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, Birendra Jung Pandey and Shumsher Parajuli and Chief Executive Officer Santosh Prasain at the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday.

Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives and physical properties in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan due to the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River of Rasuwa on August 23, Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance has pledged to be always there in the hour of crisis.

The company has expressed its heartfelt condolences to the affected citizens in this difficult time as dozens of people have lost their lives, many have gone missing, hundreds of families have been displaced due to the damage to settlements and infrastructures due to the devastating floods and inundation.

KATHMANDU: Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance Limited has provided financial assistance of Rs. 51 lakhs to Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund as a corporate social responsibility (CSR) in solidarity with the efforts of the Government of Nepal, security agencies and local organizations for immediate rescue, relief and long-term rehabilitation of the people affected by the disaster.

Since its inception, the company has been helping the nation in the times of various crises, natural disasters and epidemics. In line with the motto of “Don’t Be Sure, Let Us Be Assured”, this financial support provided by the company in the current difficult situation will further support the search, rescue, food, health treatment and rehabilitation of the flood affected people.
